Our History

ISAMBANE NEWS is Monthly Newspaper founded in 2016 in Newcastle  with a distribution of 5,000 copies across Amajuba District Municipality: Newcastle publishes 50% English and 50% local language (Zulu).

Isambane News covers local stories and national stories but more of local interest and promote entrepreneurship and support local businesses. The Newspaper covers all positive stories of youth and others that uplifts society.

Target Audience

The publication targets all communities within the Amajuba district municipality  which is why we have distribution points in the local municipality  and a newspaper website which enables us to distribute deep worldwide. Our primary target is the black urbanized and rural population which forms

90% of the district’s population.

Frequency, Print run and Deadlines

 The publication comes out every Wednesday morning with a print run of 5,000 copies.

Deadline for Stories is Monday close of business

Deadline for Advertising is Wednesday close of business

Every Friday Once a month will be Distribution.

OUR MISSION

– To empower the baseline (Amajuba district munipality community) through
news that is both simplified and usable.
– To help alleviate unemployment by engaging unemployed
youth in the distribution of the newspaper in the areas across the
District where they reside.
– To train youth to write, take photos and market for the
publication.
– To encourage and assist our readers to start and manage their
own businesses in an effort to alleviate unemployment in the
districts and municipalities.

Educative, Development orientated, simplified and usable.
– To help alleviate unemployment by engaging unemployed
youth in the distribution of the newspaper in the towns where
they reside and also to be trained to write, take photos and
market for the publication.

own businesses in an effort to alleviate unemployment in the
local municipalities.
